How to play

Spells

Spells are your only available weapon in the game. They're created by assembling sequences of runes (up to 4). There are two main rune types: actions (marked with '@') and enhancements (marked with '+').  A valid spell has to contain at least one action rune.

Each rune has a cooldown value (blue icons in the lower left corner). Spell's total cooldown is a sum of its runes.

Runes can be acquired from scrolls (search the vases!) and tomes found in the dungeon. The spells can be rearranged only when picking a new rune. (You can examine your runes at any moment though in the backpack menu).

An example of a two-rune spell (hit action + boost value by one - resulting in a 2dmg hit)

Careful! Order of the action runes does matter!
The below two-action spell is probably not what you'd want. It would push the enemy away first and then deal damage to an already empty tile.

Controls

It might not be obvious but there is an auto-walk implemented ;) Just click on a distant tile and if there are no monsters nearby your character will try to go there.

Keybindings

Since the game is mostly targeting smartphones it is primarily controlled with touch / click. However for desktop convenience some basic key binds are added:

  • arrows / WASD - walk or interact (e.g. door opening) in a given direction
  • 1, 2, 3, 4 - (de)select spell
